Our homestead is home to a delightful menagerie of animals. Watch our chickens as they roam freely, pecking and scratching in the dirt. We started out with 14 chickens and well, chicken math happened, so now we have 36 chickens! We added a mini Nubian doeling, named Eden. We hope to breed her in the summer of 2025. We also have a Lamancha yearling, named Amy. We are hoping to breed her this fall which would mean she will kid spring of 2025. Our plan is to keep her in milk so she will be able to provide milk, butter, cheese, yogurt, ice cream, soap and lotion for our family as well as sell to your family. We also have 2 KuneKune/Juliana pigs that are named Iggy and Memphis (aka “the boys”). Their role on our homestead (besides being absolutely adorable) is eating grass and weeds. These animals not only bring life to our homestead, but also play an essential role in maintaining the health and productivity of our land.
